When people watch us clean their windows with what looks like plain water — no bucket of blue soap, no spray bottle — the reaction is always the same: "That's really going to dry clear?" It does. Every time. Here's why cleaning with purified water actually works better than soap and a squeegee.

The short version: Streaks and spots come from soap residue and the minerals in tap water. Purified water has those minerals removed, so it rinses dirt away and then dries completely clear — nothing left behind to streak.

Why regular cleaning streaks

Two culprits. First, soap — any residue left on the glass dries into a hazy film and grabs dust almost immediately. Second, the water itself. Ordinary tap water is full of dissolved minerals. Even if you get the glass spotless, when that water dries it leaves those minerals behind as spots — the same hard-water problem behind those cloudy sprinkler stains.

What "purified" means

We run our water through a filtration system that strips out the minerals and impurities — the term is deionized or purified water, and it measures close to zero dissolved solids. Pure water is naturally "hungry": it wants to grab onto dirt and carry it away. So it's actually a more aggressive cleaner than tap water, and because there's nothing dissolved in it, there's nothing to leave behind when it dries.

How the water-fed pole works

The purified water runs up a lightweight 30-foot pole to a soft brush at the top. The brush agitates and scrubs the dirt loose while the pure water floods the glass and rinses it. We give it a final rinse and walk away — no squeegee, no toweling. The glass sheets off and dries on its own, perfectly clear.

Reaching high glass — safely

Because the pole does the reaching, we clean every second-story window, and even some third stories, right from the ground. No ladders leaning against your siding, no risk to your landscaping, and no safety worries — part of how we keep the price at a flat $5 per window.

Frequently asked questions

How do you clean windows with just water?

We use purified (deionized) water with the minerals removed, fed up a pole to a soft brush. Pure water scrubs and rinses dirt away, then dries with no residue or spots — no soap needed.

Does purified-water cleaning really leave no streaks?

Yes. Streaks come from soap residue and tap-water minerals. Purified water has neither, so it dries perfectly clear on its own.

Can you reach second and third story windows?

Yes. Our 30-foot water-fed pole reaches all second-story and some third-story windows from the ground, with no ladders.
